Most citizens of the U.S. have been brainwashed into believing the form of government set forth by our Founding Fathers was a Democracy.  They knew that Democracy was essentially mob rule that transforms itself into an Oligarchy and that’s what we currently have.  That’s why the United States was set up as a Republic , which is based on “the rule of law” where the government itself leaves it’s citizens alone, instead of trying to run their lives.  We can return to a Republic only if the people of America wake up and take our country away from the corporate bought and paid for politicians.

Judge Sonia Sotomayor could walk into a firestorm on Capitol Hill over her stance on gun rights, with conservatives beginning to question some controversial positions she’s taken over the past several years on the Second Amendment.

Earlier this year, President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee joined an opinion with the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that Second Amendment rights do not apply to the states.

A 2004 opinion she joined also cited as precedent that “the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right.” link

You’ve got to be kidding me. After her racist statements suggesting a Latina female would make better decisions than a white male, then going on to suggest that policy is made in the appellate courts, we discover her true position regarding our constitutionally guaranteed 2nd amendment rights.

Looks like she’s just another liberal fascist who doesn’t believe in the U.S. constitution or OUR 2nd amendment rights.

And she’s suppose to be a candidate whose job it will be to uphold the constitution? ..more like rewrite it to her liking, if you ask me.

Congress needs to say, “So long to Soto”…

That said, let’s officially welcome Sonia Sotomayor to The Liberty Journal’s “Enemy of the States” list. She is certainly no friend of state’s rights and the constitutional liberties that are inherent to those rights.

On a side note, the GOP are signalling they are not willing to oppose her confirmation, so as to avoid offending Hispanics. The conservatives in the GOP should stand on principals and put race and identity politics aside. It’s time for the GOP to actually stand for something besides their own self interest.

I’m not sure what so fair about this?  Maybe a fair shot at destroying the 1st amendment!

Pelosi pointed out that, after it returns from its Fourth of July recess, the House will only meet for another three weeks in July and three weeks in the fall.  There are a lot of bills it has to deal with before adjournment, she said, such as FISA and an energy bill.

“So I don’t see it [the Pence bill] coming to the floor,” Pelosi said.

“Do you personally support revival of the ‘Fairness Doctrine?’” I asked.

“Yes,” the speaker replied, without hesitation” link

Hmm, I wonder what constituency she is pandering to here?  It must be the legal U.S. relatives of the illegals.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently told a group of both legal and illegal immigrants and their families that enforcement of existing immigration laws, as currently practiced, is “un-American.”

The speaker, condemning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, referred to the immigrants she was addressing as “very, very patriotic.”

“Who in this country would not want to change a policy of kicking in doors in the middle of the night and sending a parent away from their families?” Pelosi told a mostly Hispanic gathering at St. Anthony’s Church in San Francisco. link

Can you ever imagine the result of U.S. citizens not buying into the polarized political spectrum created by U.S. politicians?  Allowing the most polarizing issues to separate us guarantees the citizens of our country will continue to be used as pawns in the politician’s game that serve their self-interests and special interest.

Being a former Republican, I was tired of the, “it’s the Democrat’s fault; no it’s the Republican’s fault”. I finally realized the name of their game is to keep a divided America, so the average voting citizen has no true say in the gargantuan government that has been essentially designed by corporate America and implemented by corrupt politicians.

Most of us in America, regardless of political affiliation, have more common interests than the current political system would have us believe. Of course, there will continue to be the neo’s, theo’s, and paleo’s on each side of the spectrum that represent the extremes, but do not represent the majority of us.

We should allow the most divisive issues between us to be handled on the state level or personal level and unite around the ideas that once made us the envy of the world.  The (R) and (D) truly represent special/corporate interests and are moving closer to a fascist America.

Throw away both of these parties and help create an alternate political movement that moves in step with the Constitutional Representative Republic our country was founded on.  We need to unite for our interest before it is too late.
